FAQs

Q?

Do I need a wedding planner?

A.

Even the simplest weddings require planning and more importantly, someone to execute the plan on the day of the wedding. The finest vision and hours of planning can, and have, fallen through, due to lack of a professional on hand to execute the plan.
Just as a general contractor puts minds at ease when building a home, a professional wedding planner puts the bride and groom at ease knowing their “once in a lifetime” event will be everything they dreamed of. The couple can be confident that there is a main point of contact who will guide them to a “dream team” of the best vendors. Including the right venue, photographer, florist, caterer, cake baker, musicians, etc. and that all aspects of the wedding will be expertly executed, down to the smallest detail. Google “Why we didn’t hire a wedding planner...but wished we had”, to learn from others experience.

Q?

Can I afford a wedding planner?

A.

A common misconception is “I can’t afford a wedding planner”. Most planners offer services to accommodate any size budget. Because a professional planner knows the wedding industry inside-out, they will be able to show you ways to save both time and money. The reality is, if staying within budget is important, you really can’t afford not to have a wedding planner!

Q?

Why don’t you list prices on your web site?

A.

Asking how much does it cost for us to plan your wedding is somewhat like asking how much does it cost to buy a car? Just as one cannot state the price of a car until they know what the customer wants, we need to sit down and discuss what your needs, desires and ideas for your wedding include. Please use our Contact button to request a free, no obligation one hour consultation to explore your options. We promise no high pressure sales tactics are ever used. No one likes that. We would never treat a client in a way we would not also want to be treated. If you decide we are a good team, great! If not, we will wish you well with both your wedding and your marriage. We can even refer you to another planner, if you'd like. There are many great planners available. Find the one that works best for you.

Q?

My venue has a coordinator so why would I hire a planner?

A.

Please know that the venue coordinator works for the venue. Your wedding planner works for you. A planner will serve as the single point of contact on your wedding day. They will be by your side throughout the day and evening attending to you and your bridal party. The venue coordinator will not be there to bustle your gown, fix it when it breaks, tell you when to cut the cake, toss the bouquet, toast, load gifts into the car, etc. Many venues now actually require couples to hire a planner, because they know the difference between their staff working for the venue and a planner, who works for the couple.

Q?

Why can’t my mom, aunt or friend do everything a planner would do?

A.

Do you want your mom/aunt/friend working at your wedding or do you want your mom/aunt/friend to spend time with you, enjoying this special day? Unless your mom/aunt/friend is a professional wedding planner, it is highly unlikely that they can save you the time and money a professional planner can. Professional planners know the best vendors, the vendors who are in your budget range and how to negotiate for the best deals and services you need.

Q?

Will the planner take over my wedding? I want to plan my own wedding.

A.

This is not TV and this is not the movies, it is real life. Your planner will do as much, or as little as you want them to. They can be involved in every aspect of planning from the time you get engaged, or you may prefer to have a more DIY approach and hire only a month of coordinator to execute your plan.

Q?

Can I do everything myself and hire only a day-of coordinator?

A.

There is actually no such thing as a day-of coordinator. Do you really believe that anyone could walk in on the day of your wedding and completely understand and execute the vision it has taken you months and months to create? No, of course not. Any respectable wedding planner will offer you a month-of package. They will want to come on board 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding so they can get familiar with your vision for the day, review all vendor contracts to know exactly what services you have arranged for and to help create a detailed timeline for the day, to ensure no details are left undone.

Do you want the most important day of your life to be left to chance? Or do you prefer to be able to relax and embrace the moment as you make memories of a lifetime, fully confidant that a professional is in charge?

It’s your wedding - your one special day....who will you trust?
